Earrings
Earrings frame the face. They can bring interest to the face. The can intrigue, fascinate, and add mystery and glamour. They must not be too heavy and must hang just right. However, that allows for many fanciful shapes and much color. They are tiny, kinetic sculptures.
Earrings have denoted status and origin. Status carries too much pretension for me and origin is not relevant in this modern mobile world, so instead I go for style and decoration.
